The actuator will slide off two rails depress the locking tab with an off set screwdriver. They lock and unlock utilizing a push pull lever or pin on the inside of the car. This will allow the door to be opened and closed as necessary. On the interior of a car door the door lock actuator is the mechanism that controls the door lock.

If a car door lock is stuck in the lock position it is most likely due to a connection between one several or all external and internal connections to the car door latch. Power door locks fail quite. Force the flat blade of the offset screwdriver into the plastic locking tab to depress it. While the key is in work the door lock manually up and down while using the auto lock at the same time.

A thin metal rod goes between the actuator and the key latch and connects the two. When your door handle door lock cylinder or interior locking post switch is not properly connected to the car door latch you will find that the car door lock is stuck. And the car is opened from the outside by inserting a key into the lock. By unlocking the car door using the internal latch or a key the visible latch will be in the up position and the car door locks release the door opening mechanism.

When locked the latch will be depressed and the mechanism will be connected to prevent the door from being opened. Manual door locks do not have any electrical components. Then jam another flat blade screwdriver between the latch and the actuator and pry.
